JAKARTA, Sept 15 -- Indonesia recorded 3,507 new positive COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours to bring the overall total positive cases in the republic to 225,030.
Based on the data published in the official Indonesian government website on COVID-19, www.covid19.go.id today, there are 99,634 more patients being monitored for the virus.
From 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today, 124 more fatalities occurred, taking the cumulative death toll to 8,965.
The Province of Jakarta which came under the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) again for two weeks starting yesterday, reported 1,076 new cases, to bring its total to 56,175, the highest in the republic. In terms of fatalities, East Java has the highest COVID-19 toll with 2,832 deaths, followed by Jakarta (1,450), Central Java (1,165), South Kalimantan (390), South Sulawesi (383) and the remaining cases in other provinces in Indonesia.
